Myles Conti

Myles Conti is an Australian writer, director, and producer whose work spans feature films, television, and commercials. A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Myles began his career as an actor before shifting his focus behind the camera, where his passion for storytelling quickly evolved into a career in writing, directing, editing, and producing.

In 2007, he co-founded Conti Bros Films with his brother Karl. The company has produced thousands of television commercials, numerous music videos, over 50 short-form television programs, and multiple documentaries, establishing a reputation for creative excellence and technical precision.

Myles has directed and edited a slate of award-winning shorts, including Social Distance (2020) and Dreamweaver (2017), as well as co-directing and editing the feature documentary A Very Short War (2010) and the two-part television documentary No Friend But the Mountains (2021).

In recent years, Myles established Xenon-Post, a Sydney-based post-production company specialising in feature and television workflows. Through Xenon-Post, he has served as Post Supervisor on the Australian independent feature Two Ugly People (2024) and is currently supervising Hold Still, an Australian–New Zealand co-production. His upcoming thriller Violent Things, co-written with long-term collaborator Lucas Bradley, is in advanced development with Icon Films attached as ANZ distributor and 13 Films handling international sales, with production in the UK expected in the near term.

His work is characterised by a fresh, energetic approach and a strong sense of rhythm, with camera, performance, and edit working in unison to drive momentum and immerse audiences. As a writer he has predominantly focused on thrillers. This versatility across genres — from comedy and action in commercial work, to dramatic and documentary-driven storytelling in television — equips him to balance raw intensity with nuanced, character-driven narrative.
