Karl Conti

Karl Conti is a producer and executive producer with more than 18 years’ experience across feature films, television, and commercial production. In 2007, he co-founded Conti Bros Films with his brother Myles, building the company into one of Australia’s leading boutique production and post-production studios.

Under Karl’s leadership, the company has produced thousands of commercials, numerous music videos, more than 50 episodes of short-form television, multiple documentaries, and a slate of award-winning short films, working with clients including ABC, SBS, The History Channel, Qantas, Google, Canon, Rebel Sport, Westpac, Telstra, Paspaley, and The Walt Disney Company.

Karl’s producing credits include Michelle Lehman’s Marry Me, winner of Tropfest 2008, and the feature documentary A Very Short War (2010), which sold to The History Channel, ABC, SBS Distribution, Virgin Airlines, and NRK2. He has since produced a number of short films including Dreamweaver (2017) and Social Distance (2020), winner at the My Rode Reel festival.

Expanding into independent features, Karl co-founded Xenon-Post and is Executive Producer on Two Ugly People (2024) and Hold Still, an Australian–New Zealand co-production currently filming in New Zealand. He is also producing Violent Things, co-written by Myles Conti and Lucas Bradley, with Icon Films attached as ANZ distributor and 13 Films handling international sales. In addition, Karl oversees the development of Conti Bros Films’ growing slate of feature screenplays, including the upcoming survival thriller White Ant.

As a producer, Karl is highly practical and solutions-focused. He is known for supporting creative visions while finding innovative ways to overcome production challenges — skilled at maximising resources and making budgets stretch, he consistently delivers productions that look far more expensive than their cost.
